Another Source’s client, McKinstry, is recruiting a Systems Administrator to join their team in their Seattle office. This role is located in the Georgetown area of Seattle which includes free parking, an on-site gym, and a cafeteria.

Here’s where you come in:
Our Systems Administrators are a central part of the McKinstry IT team, and supports hardware, software, and computer systems across the enterprise. This is a high-profile position in McKinstry’s Technology organization, with an important role in maintaining, making routine improvements, and ensuring the business network is operating optimally.
This position requires demonstrated experience in IT, including managing Windows environments and associated supporting systems of a modern enterprise. To ensure success, you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance, scripting skills, and the ability to solve complex IT issues. Proven end-to-end delivery of technology business solutions is a must. You must also possess strong analytical and troubleshooting knowledge. The selected candidate will work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment where excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Consistent reliability during standard business work hours, occasional off-hours availability, along with participation in an on-call rotation is required.
You’re great at:
Provide subject matter expertise for a 1000+ users Windows environment
Provide end-to-end root cause analysis and assistance for issues related to enterprise issues
Provide 24*7 support of critical systems in a rotating on-call environment
Acts as an escalation point for Tier1/2 Help Desk support
Update knowledge base and/or support documentation articles as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement and streamlining of existing admin processes.
Assists in identifying and prioritizing remediation efforts for recurring issues
Assists in ad-hoc reporting such as trend analysis on recurring incident types
Contribute to Technology Operations Team (Infrastructure, Security and Help Desk) strategy and vision. Helps to guide project requirements, design & development, deployment.
Participate in compliance and security reviews as needed. Work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability.

Must possess strong documentation skills and can work with rapid change and fast pace to manage ongoing projects and deadlines.
The ability to collaborate with McKinstry personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organization, project and application development teams, management, and business personnel.
Ability to monitor enterprise system alerts and assist in resolving complex issues with system hardware and software.
Proven experience to deliver end-to-end technology business solutions, from design to implementation across multiple technical areas and business segments.
Experience with Implementing, testing, and supporting enterprise business continuity processes and systems.
Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies as they relate to assigned systems.
Utilization of scripting where applicable to leverage automation of system administration tasks
Receptive and responsive to coaching and guidance from leaders and more experienced engineers. Seeks input and support as required.
Qualifications
4 – 6 years of IT experience in computer administration
A bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent work experience.
Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
Experience with Active Directory, including group and domain policy, permissions, and DNS management.
Experience with automation and scripting tools. (e.g., PowerShell, Config Manager)
Experience with Microsoft cloud services (e.g., AAD/AD sync, oAuth, permissions, identity, protection, B2B, etc.).
A working knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and networking software.
Demonstrated track record of implementing various IT strategies and plans.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
Familiarity with common information security management frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 2700x, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks.
Experience in these areas
Managing integration between cloud and on-prem services.
System administration of diverse operating systems and tools (e.g., Microsoft Windows, Linux, Apple, etc.)
Virtualization (e.g., VMWare)
