Rock Harbor Boats is actively seeking experienced marine technicians with any level of experience working in a marine specific setting. Any experience with outboards, inboards, outdrives, electrical wiring, or mechanical experience in general is great!

Rock Harbor Boats is a Mercury Marine dealership, but experience working with Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Evinrude, Suzuki, and other marine brands is a plus.

We have a preference for those who have experience in the marine industry, but we are willing to work with those who display mechanical aptitude to build up to a technician position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the following:

– I/O engines and drives

– Outboard engines

– New engine installs (including accessories)

– Mechanical diagnostics and repair

– Electrical diagnostics and repair

– Trailer repairs

– Forklift operation

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

– Great working in a team environment

– Ability to work in tight and hard to reach areas

– Ability to work under pressure (time)

– Positive, responsible, attentive, and committed

*This position will require individuals to be able to lift 50lbs and stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time.

Candidates must have reliable form of transportation that allows them to work the schedule outlined above. Candidates must also have their own tools.
